Anne Neil

Anne Neil's photo

If you live in Perth, chances are you’ve already seen Anne Neil’s work: at the Great Eastern/Roe Highway Interchange, in the Northern Courtyard at Fiona Stanley Hospital, or in front of the library at ECU Joondalup, to name just a few.

Anne featured in the inaugural Sculpture at Bathers in 2013 as well as our 2015 show, and we are very pleased to welcome her back once again.

“I am a Fremantle-based artist with a diverse practice that encompasses public art and design.  Since completing Post Graduate Studies in 1992, in Sculpture at the School of Art ANU in Canberra, my art practice has found new trajectories in scale and purpose.  My artworks run the stylistic gamut – engaging abstraction, realism and the ready-made – and explore a range of materials.

In 2012 I was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by ArtSource in Western Australia in recognition of the breadth and scale of my art practice and generosity in mentoring other artists.”
